What is Personhood?

Do you agree that every person should have the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness?

In Justice Blackmun’s statement of Roe v. Wade, he that said that if the fetus could ever be proved to be a person, the decision would collapse. Now with increased technology and ultra sound, we know that personhood begins at the moment of a baby’s biological development, the moment of conception. Over 50% of Americans are now pro-life.

Just as the wicked Dred Scot decision ruled that African Americans were non-persons and could be property, so Roe v. Wade has declared that the pre-born are non-persons and are considered property. As Dred Scott was never “overturned” but amended, that is what we are seeking to do: repent from the wicked decision of 9 people that brought death on our whole nation and amend our way, state by state, appealing to the people’s hearts to simply establish the personhood of the pre-born, the disabled and the elderly to protect their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by love and by law. Their right to life, their personhood is self-evident and is inalienable.

Personhood Florida needs 676,811 valid petitions for ballot access. When we have ten percent of that number, 67,681 valid petitions, the Personhood Amendment will go to the Supreme Court of Florida for approval for ballot access. Unlike other states whose amendments may be challenged and struck down just prior to ballot access or even after voter approval, Florida’s amendments are judged by the courts near the beginning of the process. That is one great advantage in our favor. Unlike other states that have a deadline for constitutional amendment petitions, the Personhood Amendment will continue to be valid indefinitely. Each petition is valid for four years, but we may continue to collect petitions until we reach our goal. This is another great advantage — no state-imposed deadline!

Will you work with us to first get to the 67,681 goal?

Will you work with us diligently and urgently until we obtain the final 676,811 valid petitions needed for ballot access?
Will you work with us diligently and urgently until we obtain 60% of the vote to pass the Florida Personhood Amendment?

Will you stand with us until all persons are protected by love and by law?

We cannot fail if we continue to battle for Personhood!

If not now, then when? If not you, then who?

Perhaps you have been born “for such a time as this.”

Will You help end abortion in Florida? You may go to our Endorsement page to see who is endorsing us (and this number is steadily growing!) We would love your endorsement! View our Resource page and read a letter to pastors from my pastor, Pastor Jeff Steffel of Grace Family Church, Port Saint Lucie. We also have posted a legal memo from Allied Defense Fund, a check list of what churches can do to help, and the petition in English and Spanish. Also available is an overview of the Personhood initiative and a bulletin insert for churches.

Our Florida state constitution requires something of us:

Quoting from The  Florida Constitution:

“We, the people of the State of Florida, being grateful to Almighty God for our constitutional liberty, in order to secure its benefits….. do ordain and establish this constitution ……All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life ….”

If you believe that every person should have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, join us today. Mail in your petition, add a few dollars to cover the costs and help others do the same!

  • It’s time to accept the right of “defending life”.
  • It’s time to protect the innocent in love and in law.
  • It’s time to recognize constitutional personhood for all human beings.
  • It’s time for Florida to end abortion and euthanasia.

On Behalf of Personhood FL, Thank You for Defending Innocent Human Life!

On behalf of Personhood FL, thank you for defending innocent human life! We have an awesome opportunity coming up to network with other pastors who are interested in actively engaging the culture. The Liberty Counsel is organizing Pastors’ Freedom Forums in Jacksonville, Orlando, Naples, and Miami. Speakers will include Matt Staver and John Stemberger. We have been given an opportunity to speak with pastors about Personhood so that they can join us in our effort to end the shedding of innocent blood. If you’d like to attend any of these events

Cal’s Comments: Disney World, No; The Real World, Yes!

Each winter, many northern people vacation in Florida. Their tourism industry is huge. Besides the beaches, there are amusement parks and Disney World. Orlando alone has millions of visitors. We took the kids to Orlando, but the heroes we introduced them to were not Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck. Instead of going to see (and be) Goofy, we saw the real heroes of Florida, pro-life rescuers.

Ask Crist to sign the ultrasound bill

We at PersonhoodFL are not content with this bill as a final solution. We want babies fully protected by law. But there is not greater proof for personhood than an ultrasound!

Personhood FL Tour Distributes Over 3,000 Pieces of Literature in Hispanic, Black, and White Neighborhoods in Miami

The day started in a Hispanic neighborhood on a street in front of an abortion mill and the Hialeah Senior High School where 3,000 students drove past large signs of born, preborn, and aborted babies. The missionaries were able to distribute 2,000 pieces of literature to students, pedestrians, and stopped cars. Some even signed the Personhood FL constitutional petition right on the street! The missionaries also went into the abortion mill…

Why Do We Show Pictures of PreBorn and Aborted Babies?

If abortion is so horrible that we can’t stand to look at pictures of the mutilated babies, should we really tolerate it? You see, without the pictures, we can easily go about our ordinary business and forget that we allow 1,200,000 baby girls and boy per year in the US, 88,000 in Florida, and 1,000 in St Lucie County to be brutally murdered. Without the pictures, it’s easy to forget that we allow the blood of the shedding of more than 52,000,000 preborn children in America while we go to work, school, church, play, etc. Without the pictures, it’s easy to forget that the prosperity that we have enjoyed since abortion became legal has been earned by ignoring the precious children who were fearfully and wonderfully made in the secret places of their mother’s womb yet face the threat of death by abortion. (See Psalm 139.) How long can we expect God to withhold His judgment from America? …

Excellent Presentation for PersonhoodFL

American Life League held a conference in DC where Robert Muise, from the Thomas Moore Law Center, had an awesome presentation on the legal objections to Personhood.
