Do you agree that every per­son should have the right to Life, Lib­erty and the Pur­suit of Happiness?

In Jus­tice Blackmun’s state­ment of Roe v. Wade, he that said that if the fetus could ever be proved to be a per­son, the deci­sion would col­lapse. Now with increased tech­nol­ogy and ultra sound, we know that per­son­hood begins at the moment of a baby’s bio­log­i­cal devel­op­ment, the moment of con­cep­tion. Over 50% of Amer­i­cans are now pro-life.

Just as the wicked Dred Scot deci­sion ruled that African Amer­i­cans were non-persons and could be prop­erty, so Roe v. Wade has declared that the pre-born are non-persons and are con­sid­ered prop­erty. As Dred Scott was never “over­turned” but amended, that is what we are seek­ing to do: repent from the wicked deci­sion of 9 peo­ple that brought death on our whole nation and amend our way, state by state, appeal­ing to the people’s hearts to sim­ply estab­lish the per­son­hood of the pre-born, the dis­abled and the elderly to pro­tect their right to life, lib­erty and the pur­suit of hap­pi­ness by love and by law. Their right to life, their per­son­hood is self-evident and is inalienable.

Per­son­hoodFL, is a people’s ini­tia­tive to amend the Con­sti­tu­tion of Florida, (just like the recently passed Mar­riage Amend­ment) and is refresh­ingly non-partisan and a-political. Our goal is to gather 676,811 peti­tion sig­na­tures from reg­is­tered Florid­ian vot­ers by Feb­ru­ary 1, 2012 to enable Florida vot­ers the right to vote in the Gen­eral Elec­tion of 2012 for the Per­son­hood Amend­ment so that all Florid­i­ans are pro­tected from the moment of bio­log­i­cal begin­ning to nat­ural death.

Our Florida state con­sti­tu­tion requires some­thing of us:

“We, the peo­ple of the State of Florida, grate­ful to Almighty God for our con­sti­tu­tional lib­erty, in order to secure its bless­ings and to form a more per­fect gov­ern­ment, insur­ing domes­tic tran­quil­ity, main­tain­ing pub­lic order, and guar­an­tee­ing equal civil and polit­i­cal rights to all, do ordain and estab­lish this Constitution.

All men are equal before the law, and have cer­tain inalien­able rights, among which are those of enjoy­ing and defend­ing life.”
