Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) was prolife reveals his niece, Dr. Alveda King. “In advising men and women on questions of personal behavior 50 years ago, Uncle Martin sounded no different than a conservative Christian preacher does now,” said Dr. King. “He was pro-life, pro-abstinence before marriage, and based his views on the unchanging Word of the Bible.” Alveda King continues MLK’s prolife legacy by defending the right to life of all innocent humans, including the unborn, elderly, and disabled and compares abortion to slavery.
Last week, I wrote that we need to take the prolife personhood message to every region, every county, every city, every church, every pastor. This week, I go over the results from last weeks poll on how many pastors have ever heard of prolife personhood amendments and compare them with the actual findings we discovered at a recent pastors meeting, and I’ll lay out a plan to reach every church, every pastor in the state of Florida for Life.
In last week’s PersonhoodFL.com poll, we asked you what percentage of Florida pastors have ever heard about the prolife personhood amendment. Most of the respondents answered that only 21 – 30% or 11 – 20% of the pastors had ever heard of personhood. My dad and I along with Jay Rogers recently attended a large gathering of prolife, politically motivated pastors, and we found that the percentage is even lower! The bad news is that less than 10% of the attendees knew about personhood prior to learning about it from us, and this coming from a group of pastors that is most likely to have heard of personhood. The good news is that every pastor we approached signed the personhood petition and agreed to petition in their church! One pastor asked us: “Why haven’t I heard of personhood before?” The answer is simple: we haven’t told him!
Personhood Florida recently attended a national prolife pregnancy center convention. We met center directors, employees, volunteers, and board members from across the country and even other nations. Those from Florida signed the prolife personhood petition at the conference, and our office continues to receive petitions in the mail from some of these centers. Our poll question for this week is: what percentage of prolife pregnancy center workers have ever heard of the prolife personhood amendment?
I have a dream that one day all innocent human life will be protected by love and by law in Florida. For this to happen, we need to make the case for life in every region, every county, every city, and every church. Indeed, we need every pastor in the state of Florida to present the prolife, personhood petition to their church.

We met pastors from all over the state. The pastors all received the petition with open arms. Those who hadn’t previously signed the petition singed it at the conference and took additional copies to pass out to have their congregations sign the petition! For the several weeks, former state Representative Art Argenio lobbied US Senate Candidate Colonel Mike McAllister to sign the FL Personhood Amendment. Then at the Saint Lucie County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner, I challenged both Adam Hasner and Colonel Mike McAllister to sign the Florida Personhood Amendment Petition. Personhood Florida recently received McAllister’s signed petition, but to date, we haven’t received a signed petition from Hasner. I commend Colonel McAllister for taking a bold stand to protect all innocent human life. Truly, without life, our other rights are meaningless!
Personhood FL is non-partisan and does not endorse specific candidates and/or political parties. We encourage all Candidates for US Senate and other seats in all political parties to endorse and sign the FL Personhood Amendment which will end abortion and protect all innocent human life.

January 22 marks the anniversary of Roe v Wade. ProLifers throughout the state will remember the over 50,000,000 preborn children murdered by abortion in the US since that dreadful decision. Prolifers will participate in March for Life events and Prayer Vigils and pastors will preach Sanctity of Human Life sermons. Personhood Florida is planning a big push to gather personhood petitions in churches and at prolife events across Florida in January. During the conference call, we’ll present the plan and provide training on how you can help promote the personhood amendment in your church, city, and/or region.
