Isn’t God’s forgiveness amazing! Just as He says this in Ezekiel 33:13-20, He has really been ministering to me about laboring in HOPE. Even though the thought of how many innocent deaths are being laid at our feet is over-whelming, we must keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith.
Hebrews 12 teaches us that Esau begged for repentance with bitter tears, but that did not earn him forgiveness. That is kind of scary until we read that we have been given a better convenant through the blood of Jesus. We are not called to where it is scary and we are afraid of God, as at Mount Sinai where the people of God were trembling.
But we have the promise of Hebrews 13:22-24:
No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to countless thousands of angels in a joyful gathering. You have come to the assembly of God’s firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is the judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect. You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.
Is that incredible! Could it be true, that there is a promise in the Old Testament and the New, that if we repent and choose to live obediently to the Word of God that we really could see bright days ahead- that we could truly be a blessed people once again?!
Well there is an admonition in Hebrews 13:1-3:
Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.
And that is where PersonhoodFL comes in! Let’s remember the pain that these precious pre-born are suffering and rise up to their aid! Please come join us this weekend:
